Early Childhood Intervention
Key Worker Model
Uniquely supporting your family
Family Support With Our Professionals
We use the Key Worker Model to support your family. Our approach is that you have the most knowledge about your child and we can help you to improve the areas that need improving. We recognise that a one size fits all approach is not helpful; as your child is unique and has individualised needs.
The staff at Treehouse Kids, while fully trained and experienced in working with many areas common to children, don’t know everything. Therefore, our Key Worker Model allows us to refer children to the most appropriate professional for relevant appointments. That professional may make recommendations and we will help you implement them.
When able, we will assist without referring to other providers, however, we offer the referral service to others for your peace of mind.
Within Treehouse Kids, we are experienced:
- Play Therapists
- Early Childhood Educators
- Behaviour Specialists
- Therapy Assistants
Each of our supportive staff are therapists AND key workers. This means that you generally tell your story to one person only and don’t have to keep repeating it.
Our staff are highly experienced in working with children. We have regular team meetings to discuss clients together as a group. Each staff member has the chance to discuss clients and we learn together by operating collaboratively behind the scenes.
Your family will meet with one staff member, with others (internal and external) being invited by you or the key worker as necessary.
Some of the professionals we may refer to are:
- Speech Therapists
- Occupational Therapists
- Physiotherapists
